Job Description
*Contribute ideas and suggest new initiatives or areas of improvement regarding export activities
*Filing of all documents necessary to the pre & post shipment of goods
*Responsible to monitor shipment and customer clearance and monitor statutory changes with regards to exports
*Responsible for handling the necessary paperwork that involves the packaging of goods
*Interpret and respond to customer queries and implement the desired operating procedures
*Ensure shipping line and packaging methods meet the customers and statutory requirements
*Responsible for compilation, application and refund of all duty exemptions*
* Responsible to maintain information about licenses, tariffs and restrictions and keep track of invoices
*Collate and forward completed documentation to destination agents to ensure prompt clearance and delivery of consignments
*Oversee and resolve shipment complaints and ensure compliance with local transportation and vehicle safety regulations
*Set operation policies and standards including determination of safety procedures for the handling of goods
*Maintain records and other information which is required (route information, vehicle inspection records, fuel use, time reports, personnel records, etc.) for the purpose of meeting regulatory requirements
